Range Filter
The Range Filter operator crops a point cloud to an axis-aligned box, discarding every point outside its bounds. Along with cropping, it measures how much of the box is occupied, so it doubles as a simple presence or zone trigger.
Operator Properties
- Bounds: the minimum and maximum corners of the box.
- Invert: remove the points inside the box instead of outside it.
- Bypass: analyse the box and update its outputs without filtering the cloud.
- Count Threshold: outputs stay at zero until more than this many points are in range, which ignores sensor noise.
- Max Fill: the point count that represents a 'full' box when calculating Fill Value.
Outputs
- Point Count: the number of points in range.
- Fill Value: point count divided by Max Fill.
- Proportion: the fraction of the input cloud that is in range.
- Occupied Bounds: the bounding box of the points in range (not available when inverted).
