Cluster Extraction

The Cluster Extraction operator can reduce a point cloud to a set of AABBs that represent 'clusters' of points. It uses Euclidean Cluster Extraction, a geometric algorithm for segmenting subjects within a larger cloud. It can be used to coarsely isolate people and objects within a scene for location tracking, presence detection, or to prepare regions of interest for further processing.

The implementation of Euclidian Cluster Extraction is provided by PCL. A concise theoretical primer is provided about it here.
